Within the past week I have had two interesting nights. The first was the Mayhem Festival last Sunday. For those that don't know what it is, it's an all day show of various heavy metal bands with mosh pits all over( I know, I'm too old! ). I went with my ex from my last post( we're still friends ) in the evening, because we wanted to see one specific band. Now, I should say at this point that I did have a few beers throughout the day, without eating anything( I gotta stop doing that! ). So my ex came to my house to get ready and she drove there. We were there for a little while and I had to use the restroom. Upon leaving the restroom, I was politely escorted by a security guard to the first aid station. I wasn't starting any trouble, he said he saw me stagger. Really? My responce to him was "So what!". Anyways, I called Jackie to tell her that I was being detained and not let back into the show. They then informed me that I couldn't stay in first aid and escorted me out the front gate. Once again, Really? Now, they think that I'm too drunk to stay at the Mayhem Fest, but, they put me in the parking lot where I could drive away and possibly kill someone! Unbelievable. So, I waited for Jackie to finish watching the band we wanted to see and she came out to retreive me. I'm still getting my ass busted about it!

My second interesting evening this past week was a get together with a bunch of high school classmates. It was really cool! Some of them I hadn't seen since graduation, some I'm still friends with. There was even an ex-girlfriend from school there....................................Ok. I'm back. I started this post weeks ago and took a break. By the time I got back to finishing it, I had problems with my blog. So, anyways, I went to a get together with a bunch of old classmates. What made it interesting was, it was two different groups in high school that were there. One was "The Click"(the popular ones) and the other was the not so popular group(more real and down to earth). It's funny how after almost 30 years since graduation, "The Click" forgets how they acted towards anyone non-click back in high school. I'm friends with some and call them out on it and they deny it. As for me, I was never in one group in school, I look at people as individuals and was friends with people in all the high school groups. That gets me back to my high school ex that was there that night, she was in the "click" and she was one of the best looking girls in our class. I was leary about even talking to her that night, but wound up having a great conversation with her. She is still beautiful( I didn't tell her that though, I'm sure she knows). It turned out to be a really fun night. The ones from "the click" are cool now and the non click ones were always cool.

This post started off as two interesting evenings, it took so long to finish, I get to add a third. I"m starting to realize that I'm to old for music festivals. I made plans with Joe( you've met him in past posts) to go to the Uproar Festival(uh oh, here we go again!). I had lawn tickets. The day of the show a friend of Joe's wanted to go with us. She didn't want to do lawn and upgraded our tickets to seats. We had a few beers before we went in and at 12 dollars a beer inside, we only had a couple. Just before the last band finished, Sherrie wanted to leave in a rush. As I was running down the stairs behind Sherrie and Joe, I lost it on the last step and hit my rib cage into a steel rail real hard. Turns out that I fractured 3 ribs. I'm getting too old for this shit! Lol. Proof that I'm old, it's 10:30 on my birthday and I'm finishing this blog! Thanks for listening, Kevin
